When starting to apply everything in the right order I feel like I'm playing Mikado: carefully try to pick something from on top of the pile without letting all the rest roll around the counter and fall on the floor, in the sink or in the bath tub.

Today I failed and my Rimmel Natural Bronzer fell onto the ground. Smashed in a thousand little pieces :'( Luckily I had done my homework on beforehand and I knew I needed "rubbing alcohol" or an "alcohol solution". English is not my native language so I wasn't sure what that meant, but I do believe that "alcohol solution" means "desinfecting alcohol". Am I right?
I'm not worried though about using desinfecting alcohol, as the name says itself, it's desinfecting (might be good for the skin, who knows), secondly, it's used on skin anyway and thirdly it evaporates quickly, which is why I think you have to use alcohol and can't just use water or glycerin.
How much alcohol do you add? As much as you need just to get every particle wet. Make sure you break every "piece" of compact powder so it turns into a loose powder and you can mix it like you would mix flower and milk. I used a sort of tweezer-spoon to mix it all and get it even.

At first I thought I made a big mistake. Won't my powder smell of desinfecting alcohol/ rubbing alcohol? It did when it was wet, but after drying for a night it smelled like sweet compact powder again :)
Tip: take a rubbing alcohol that is high in isopropyl (70% or more).
